Tablet orientation of Samsung Galaxy tab

Hi,

I want to purchase a tab and use it as a vnc client to connect to my laptop and work remotely.

I like
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 but it's in portrait orintation, Samsung Galaxy Tab 730 is in landscpe orientation but lacks in features.

My question is, is it possible to change the orientation in Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3100 which I prefer?

I cannot comment for sure if this will work, but the Nexus 7 is "locked" in portrait as well with the notifications/clock at the top.

Using Apex Launcher or Nova Launcher it allows rotation.

Another option is the app Ultimate Rotation Control from the Play Store. See if that does the trick. It is free for 7 days, then you have to pay to keep using it if it works for you: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate

You should be able to rotate it to the orientation you prefer, then while in that position go to settings and turn off auto-rotate and it should stay like that. I do that when I'm laying down and reading in portrait mode. I hate it when it switches when you don't want it to!
