updating mid8042

Hi, I have a Coby MID8042 with Andriod ver 4.0.3, Kernel ver 3.0.8, build # 20120401.121016. I understand this is a "Coby Gen 3" tablet. I am trying to install the GoPro App, but it will not install on an older Android version. Must be 5.0 or newer I think. I just want to have a live preview...
