10.1 is not using sd card

I have a sd card installed in my 10.1 wifi
My device memory is almost filled the apps are returning errors telling me there is not enough device memory
I can view my sd card and I have some files stored on it
Why is it not being seen by the os?

Welcome to the forum

If you can see it in your tablet, then the OS sees it but in order to make use of it you will need to manually move (DATA) to it. not normally apps. Use a file manager or use the link I have below to find out how to cut/copy/paste and move files.

Oddly, after a recent update, my Note 10.1 automatically places files downloaded using the stock browser to the external SD card. It came as kind of a suprise to me.
