3 has announced that it will be selling two Android powered Samsung smartphones next month, the Galaxy Mini and the Galaxy Pro.
The Samsung Galaxy Mini is an affordable entry-level handset with a 3.14 inch capacitive touchscreen, a 600MHz processor, and a 3 megapixel camera.
It comes with 2GB of memory (expandable to 32GB via microSD) and runs Froyo, so no Gingerbread, rather disappointingly. 3 will be stocking two snazzy sounding colour variants, black and green, and black and silver.
The Galaxy Pro comes with a 2.8 inch display and a Qwerty keypad. The smartphone also has a 3 megapixel camera and 2GB of storage, with a slightly nippier 800MHz processor. Again it runs Froyo Android 2.2, but also has Samsungs Social Hub Premium built-in.
The latter is a social management centre which ties up your email, instant messaging and social network updates all in one hub which is updated in real-time.
Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices at 3, commented: Samsung has had a great start to the year by bringing very strong smartphone contenders to market. Were very excited to be adding the Samsung Galaxy Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Mini to our growing portfolio.
Were sure you are, Sylvia. Both phones will be available in April, although pricing hasnt yet been mentioned. Wed expect both handsets to be reasonably wallet friendly, particularly the Galaxy Mini with its entry-level billing.
