3g problems

My s7 Is hooked up to 3g network In the option however It shows only edge In Android area I know has full 3g. Android I missing something?

If you are using T-mob US then its edge only as their system is on a different 3g frequency to the rest of the world. Dont ask me why!

There are a couple things that come to mind real quick.
First, you don't mention which 3G network you are connecting to. If it is Tmobile, you will only get edge because the 3G bands on the S7 are not compatible.
Second, have you gone into settings/wireless networks and selected GSM/WCDMA? If only GSM is selected, you will only get edge.
