4.0.4 spell check problem

I have a 10" tablet which has 4.0.4 installed and it doesn't appear to have a spell check dictionary.
As I type a line on say an email even the simplest correctly spelled words are underlined in red and need to be added,even in and on.

Is there a setting or app that provides that dictionary ?
My Nexus 7 with 4.2 works well but not this one on ICS.

Root your tablet and replace the keyboard in /system/app with the apps available in this thread. That will fix the spell check issue.
