my first question is, does anyone have any suggestions for a media player for home movies? My second question is how do I watch them? I did have set to rockplayer, but the video was out of sync with sound, which is common it seems with rockplayer. So like an idot i switched it back to the stupid B&N one, and of course it does not play. Now I cant switch it back. I wanted to use VLC for the home movies, but when I click on the app, it's just a blank screen.

Get yxplayer, it's plays videos better than rockplayer. Use any file browser to try to open a file, it should give you a choice of players. Then you can pick a new default.
