A500 SIM card slot?

i see that the parts on the iconia are universal does that also mean that the hardware is to?? question being can i slip a sim card in to my SIM slot and prolly needing to DL a program or something that was taken out of this model is it possable for me to then use my A500 as A501 and call Att and get the 3G working?

On the a500 it's just an empty slot and is supposed to have tape over it. If you put a sim card in it will just drop inside of your tab.

i took i light and looked mine has the slot holder that a sim card rests in is that normal or am i looking at something else, it looks just like any other slot place holder thin metal just wide and large enough to fid a sim card in

Are you sure you're looking at the correct slot? The SD card slot is next to it.

My understanding is that if you try and put a SIMM in there it will just fall through and rattle around.
