Acer A500

Why is it that I get a message once in awhile when downloading an App from the PlayStore that " this program is not compatible with A500". An Android tablet is an Android tablet is it not. We all run basically the same OS, like Honeycomb. I get frustrated when I see that message which has kept quite a few apps from being installed on my Acer tablet. Ant explanation would be appreciated.

There are many different processors, OS versions, GPU's etc. and varying Screen resolutions. with so much variance not all software supports all devices. Sometimes an app will run fine anyway, and there are market un lockers that can allow you access.
