Hello. I've been advised to carry out a factory reset on my tablet because the 'System Doctor' app constantly gives me 'low memory' notifications (even though I have plenty of memory on my device).
I have a 128 GB SD card installed with a few apps on it, like BBC Sport, Dictionary, Currency Converter, etc.
Should I remove the SD card before carrying out a factory reset ?
If so, what about the data on the SD card - should I erase that before remounting the card on the tablet and then re-install the 'lost' apps afresh ?
Thanks in advance.
(Factory reset advice is :
1.From the Apps menu, tap on Settings, and then tap Backup & reset.
2.Tap on Factory data reset, and then tap Reset Tablet.
3.Tap Erase Everything. Your data is erased.
4.Your tablet will reboot and go to the Welcome screen. Follow the onscreen steps to setup your tablet.)

Welcome to the forum

My advice, based on what others have experienced, is that the card should be removed before the reset. However, I would also try moving those apps back to internal storage first otherwise I think you'll run into additional issues after the reset.

Those instructions are correct.

Many thanks for the quick reply.
Any idea why I'm getting the constant notifications ?
Is it a common fault/occurrence ?

My gu3ess is some type of corruption or cache hiding somewhere.
