Acer Iconia One 7 - Bad Smell of Battery Acid, Charger Very Loose

i bought my acer iconia one 7 from Argos and after a few day when i put the charger in there was a bad smell like battery acid and the charging port inside the tablet is very loose when the cable is in and only charges when in the right place and i cant return to Argos as it says exempt from 30 day guarantee i was just wondering if i could get it fixed

The charging port can be fixed as it seems to have partly lifted off the board. The battery acid smell is more problematic. Until it's opened there's no way to tell what kind of damage could be inside the casing. If you're lucky, the battery will be the only thing needing replacing.

So could I get it replaced/fixed and will it cost

The charging port is cheap. The battery isn't, and the labor is worse. You'd have to take it to someone and have them open it to determine what's going on and how much it will cost.

Carnt I take it back to Argos since there is a technical fault with it and get a replacment one
