Ad-hoc wifi?

Has anyone been able to get the ad-hoc wifi to work with the rooted NC? Last week before I rooted (N2A) I could get on via wifi tether. Now no luck. I get the canned Google thing about the adhoc wifi. I even tried the nook and couldn't get on now. Bummer.
