Aluratek Cinepad Google Play Issues

I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting Google Play to work on an Aluratek Cinepad. It comes pre-installed with GetJar but I have seen a few posts on other forums from people who say is should be simple to install Google Play.

I have tried downloading several Google Play APK files but the application always crashes, either on launch or when trying to download a new app. I also have not seen any alternative firmwares that would work on the device.

Im kinda new to the whole 'Android Tablet' world so I apologize if these sound like stupid questions.

If you go to Aluratek's website under support, you'll find an update to your operating system that gives you Amazon Play.
