am locked out of menus or being able to change anything on screen

just received flytouch. unit powers up but pushing menu button gives me a message icon telling me to unlock unit. ie-an icon like arrow and message to slide to right to unlock and have access to menus--i am unable to get any response to any icon buttons on screen whenpushing on screen-it's as though i had put in a password but i did not
how can i reset unit to see if that might unlock everything

In this case I recommend reflashing your device with another rom, try some distro of Tipstir or my Uberoid, read some info about those roms and decide which suites you most. Put the folder script on a sd and boot up the device, you'll see the device flashing a new rom, keep power plugged in during this process. After this is done, the device will most probably function.
