Shanzhaiben's ad for the Haipad M703
Supposedly will sell for around 1000RMB
This is a pretty nice looking casing that will probably make it into North American markets as a rebrand.
Bogomips is showing a weird 1600MHz. Haipad wants to tell us that this thing runs at 1.6GHz, but the system tool obviously shows a maximum operating frequency of 800MHz. This means that this single core A9 wont see much performance increases over A8 variants at all.
The customized Android interface looks identical to Rockchip's Android 1.5 and 2.1, so this is going to give us (reviewers and forum moderators) a lot of headaches.
Kernel is showing 2.6.34, which is alright. These units come with Android 2.2, and Adobe Flash works fine.
Gaming seems okay, but the g-sensor is completely miscalibrated. We can't imagine a fix anytime soon, but the GPU seems like it can handle the games out there, which is a good sign.
