Android 2.2 and 810.1x eap Wireless (BUG??)

Has anyone else tried to connect to a wireless network using 801.1x eap security?

This maybe a bug in the 2.2 zenithink release. I have seen where if you connect it will freeze the tablet at random times. (Prob when it has a network access.)

Just talked with one of our IT guys and it seems they have seen something similar.

With a certain chipset (wifi) and wpa-2 they had some netbooks that were locking up. It was due to a bug in the wifi chip. wep and wpa worked fine just not wpa-2.

Does anyone know what wifi chipset is in the zt-180?

it seems that it is a bug in wpa_supplicant module :

it is fixed from Google, but seems not included in Archos firmware

Took a look at the bug and what I am seeing is different. The tablet is locking up, it will connect (at least for a few secs of functionality) then it freezes. Only a hard reset will fix it.
