Android App Really Novice Question

My tablet hasn't even been delivered yet (Thursday) but I have a question...Will any Android app, even though designed for phone or whatever, work on the tablet? (Acer A500)...I know there are specially designed tablet apps, but how about the others? Thanks, and I'm sure I will be back often in the next few days!

Welcome to the Forum! What App(s) are you looking for specifically? Some Apps require slight modifications to your setup such as Netflix.

I haven't had time yet to setup Netflix on my Rooted Nook Color, but that is one of the primary reasons I chose to get Rooted.

Most will work but avoid putting non-compatible widgets on your homescreens. Only use honeycomb optimized widgets.

I have several apps on a usb thumb drive...(They are files that end in .apk) How would I get them onto my tablet? Thanks,

Use root file explorer, navigate to /mnt/usbdisk
Select an apk and it will ask if you want to instal

Ps... forgot enable install from unknown sources
