Hi everyone! This is my first post on the forums
I'm currently doing my final year electrical engineering project. It involves a tablet computer connecting to a system running an application on Linux (for the first prototype). It's basically a DJing setup. The tablet only sends control messages used for manipulating the program running on Linux, which will be doing the processing. The tablet does not store or play the music. It only controls how the music is manipulated by the Linux machine.
My question is:
Is it very difficult to interface an Android system to a Linux system? Are there advantages to using Android as opposed to Apple in this field? And lastly, would it be ideal to have linux running on the tablet to make this easier?
Sorry if my questions seem very obvious - I'm yet to fully delve into the project and understand the interfacing. I was just after some advice before choosing what system to use.
Thanks for reading, and any answers are greatly appreciated!
Cheers
