Android tablet MID won't charge?

Ok so i got this as a Christmas present today and when i charged it first time it seemed to work fine but i took it off because it already had a full battery.

Now i have just gotten home and i can't get it to charge. I'm not getting any light or any kind of hint that it's charging. Could it be faulty or is it something simple?

Please help!
