I'm thinking about buying my first tablet. I won't drop the $$$ on an iPad and I love the 7" format, so I'm thinking about buying a new Galaxy 7 Plus which runs Honeycomb.
I have an iPhone 3GS and I can't stand the small footprint for browsing and email, so I may dump that for a simple phone with a keyboard for calls and texting (yes I'm going backwards) and use the Galaxy 7 Plus for everything else, since I'm not willing to pay for two data plans. For $50 I can buy a hotspot for internet access when I'm not in a WIFI location.
So I have a few questions:
1) Has anyone else here done this?
2) What do you think about the idea?
3) I'm confused about upgrade paths. It seems like to get the latest-and-greatest Android version you have to dump your hardware and buy a new tablet, which seems ludicrous to me. Can I upgrade the Galaxy 7 Plus to Android 4.0 (which I think was released this week)?
Thanks!
Chris
