Apad 710 vs Telepad 7? Simple upgrade from my eken m001

I'm comparing the following two models:

Telepad 7 2GB Android 2.1 Tablet + 1080p HDMI [TPAD_701] - $169.50 : MP4 Nation!, :: Low Priced MP4, MP3 Players and the latest scoop on the newest MP4 Player

and

Apad 710 Rockchip 600MHz android 2.1 4GB trackball HDMI 720p+FREE HDMI CABLE

The goal is to have something that can handle newer Android builds (2.x) and has a mod/dev friendly environment. I'm expecting to have time to tweak it after hours so it's a plus to have a good modder base.

Any suggestions?

I think the telepad would be the better choice if you hope to upgrade to 2.2 later. As far as I know the Telechips TCC8902 ARM is the faster processor and more equipped to handle 2.2
