Hello. I have a chinese MID TR718D (aka Titán 7001) android 2.1 tablet (7").
First I would like to understand about the "turn off" behaviour: if I let the tablet idle for the configured time (1 minute), first will dim the screen, and if I don´t touch or use it within a certain time (about 30 seconds) it seems that suspends itself, turning completely off. Is this correct? Is this a good method to power off without pushing the power button...?
Second, I would like to have a simple application of widget to suspend or turn off the tablet without using the power button. As many have written, using that button too much is obvious that it will not resist (and also, it is not as comfortable to turn off the tablet as pressing an icon). I have tryed many applications (widgetsoid, etc, etc), but did no found any form of suspending/hibernating or powering it off from an icon. Many of these apps need a rooted tablet.
