Apps not installing from google play, and my device is not in the device list

Hello,
I just got a new Archos ARNOVA 7f G3 with 4.0 Ice cream sandwhich and when I log into google play on it and try to install an app it just says downloading forever and never does, it does see my other tablet and phone in the device list but not the new one I am using to view it. Any ideas would be very appreciated! Is there a way to install play to the tablet itself, it just has the cheesy "appcenter"

Cheesy, yes, good description. Might I suggest some alternatives that should get the job done. Install the Amazon Market from the Amazon site. Also check out a site called GetJar and another called AppBrain. If tablet apps are what you want, check out Tablified as all the apps there are tablet apps.

found that you could install arctools and then upgrade the firmware to get google play, there is a youtube video on it.
