Arg. Still no Close / Minimize option for apps?

I just got a Galaxy 10.1 because the Ipad was bugging me. One of the things I hated about Ipad was inability to close apps . ALL WE NEED IS A SIMPLE upper right corner Close and Minimize button/option. Im at a loss why this is so hard and not a given? I was quite suprised that when I got the Galaxy tab it also doesnt have this feature - forcing us to keep all apps open and take a convoluted route to go find and close apps.
LOVE the rest of the tablet though. But is there a well known app fix for this - are these the app killer apps? I just want an X To Close button
