Seriously looking at android tablets...Google appears to have some nice models.any other manufacturers which are highly recommended...looking for at least 512MB RAM, Up to 32GB HDD, (seems to be the norm), 1Ghz processor, android market (seen the recent grief with trojans), Seen some with GPS which might be alright..I think the 10" may be a bit big, maybe just stick with an 8" ...anyway for $225 ish is what I would like to spend...any suggestions or is it a pipe dream.
Currently have a couple of newish acer laptops and a basic Kindle 3rd generation

If your comfortable flashing Roms, the Viewsonic GTab is nice(After you flash it)
The Camera isn't the best (1.3MP front facing only)

1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 512MB DRR
16GB internal memory (expandable up to 32GB via SD Card)
Google Android 2.2 (Froyo)
10.1" TFT-LCD with LED driver system and 1024x600 resolution

Get the new flytouch 3 (not the real one, its a knockoff) which is really a flytouch 2 with uprgraded RAM to 512 mb, it has a 1 ghz processor , gps, app store, 10.2 inches, and you can get it for around 200 bucks. I've heard great things about it from people. It comes with 4 gigs of memory/hdd and 2 are usable. Can be upgraded to 16/32 gb with SD cards. (one slot) theres some threads on this if you do a search, worth looking into. Mine will be here in 2 days ! :D

Thanks for the suggestions, opinions so far....not comfortable with flashing roms....Keep the suggestions/opinions coming

About the Flytouch....Not fussy about the 1 month/ 3 month warranty....and if problems arrive, mailing it back to china..Othewise, the unit had great specs..yeah, dont really want to dish out $200 ish and find out a couple months later the thing is toast....

Similar boat. Have about $200-225 and would like a 10.1 tablet running 2.2. Have rooted my Samsung Moment phone and would root the tablet - not an issue. What are solid options and reputable sellers? Any chance Netflix streaming will be available with a 2.2 system?

Archos 70 or the 101IT if you don't want to make modifications on route to a usable tablet.

Netflix questions have been answered elsewhere.

Thanks - looks like the options are minimal for a 2.2 with a larger display around the $200-225 range. The Archos 101 would be ideal if my budget had a bit more cheddar. Does anyone know if there are larger (10 inch) 2.1 for $200 or so that's been modified to a stable 2.2? The Fly touch 2?
