I saw the old product at Mp4Nation. It was probably the best built RK2808 to come to market aside from the Archos 7 Home Tablet.

How is this newer one? What is the battery life like?

Is the g-sensor properly calibrated in this unit?

How does the screensize affect application compatibility and performance in this unit? Compared to the Archos 7 Home Tablet v2?

I only had few minutes with the 2818 version and can only say that the main difference was android 2.1 and faster cpu.
The firmware is far from stable and the apps will crash quite often, i guess the problem comes from the bigger screen size and some apps are not compatible with the resolution.

I will try to have a video made of the device in action after the holidays.
