Can I charge the battery out of the tablet ?

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7.0 and the charging socket is damaged.
I don't want to change the socket.

Can I connect the battery cables directly to the stripped wires inside the USB cable of my charger

The USB cable has 4 cables inside, red, black green and white and the battery has 2 red, 2 black and 1 blue.
What is the connection diagram ? is it safe ?

It most likely can be done, but I would not consider it a safe method. I would think it would be easier to change the charging port. Or, consider having a repair shop do it.
