Can someone help me identify this tablet?

A friend of mine has this tablet that won't boot. It turns on, the screen brightens (yet stays black) and the blue LED just stays on. He thought it was a WM8560 but after some searching, I see that it is not. Any ideas?

He told me that before it froze, he looked in the 'about' settings and it said 8650. #shrug

as looking on the top pic right hand side is that a reset button my try using a pin to see if it resets its self
