Can Streaming Video Be Recorded?

I tried a few apps DU recorder and a few others they all do the same thing. They record whats on the screen just fine BUT once I start a streaming video from any of the TV stations like TNT or TBS the screen goes black. I assume they dont want me able to record TV shows. Is there away around that or I just cant do it??

Have an Asus zenpad 3s 10 tablet running android 7.

Are Android devices fast enough to capture video? That might be why there are not any apps out there?

I dont see that as the reason as it can capture game play just fine. I think its that they dont allow you to capture it on purpose. I was just hoping there was a work around for this. That way when iam outside of internet I could still have recorded shows on the tablet to watch. .
