Can't download from the android market

Just bought a new a500 today but I cannot download anything from the android market. I can search the market and click on the install icon but nothing downloads. It says it's downloading yet nothing downloads. I've tried it on several programs, including google map updates.

I've searched the net and this has happened on several android phones (with various fixes) but no mention of tablets or honeycomb.

I can download the game updates for the games pre-installed on the acer.

Please help as this is very frustrating

Go to https://market.android.com/ from your computer (not the A500), log in to your market account, choose an app to install- choose the A500 when asked which device to install to- then check your A500 and see if you get a Market download notification.

I have the same thing

After you click on download go to you aps (right top of screen) then you will see the aps that you have selected in a que that doens't auto start. Just force start the download/install

Sometimes it does that and sometimes not, i do not know why it does that
