can't download google apps

Hi I have just got a Superpad VII set it up (I 've got internet connection) but I cant get anything to download in Google Play I keep getting an error message " ....could not be downloaded due to an error (-101)"
what does this mean, please help

Try going to to settings- applications- manage applications- find the play store and clear data for it and then find google service framework and clear the data for that as well. Reboot and see if that fixes the issue.

Im not very tablet savvy so.... in settings on the left list do you mean Apps if so I dont see manage applications am I in the wrong place

You're close. Settings - applications - all. That is the spot where you manage them but it isn't actually labeled that way.
