Hello,
Just got a spiffy Nexus 7 as a birthday gift from my wife and parents.
I really like it (for the most part).

I came here via a quest for a tablet to buy at a lower cost (but close to comparable quality), so my 6 year old might enjoy all android offers, without risking my new toy.
I'm willing to learn how to root.

Welcome to the forum blackavar. Do try to make your less expensive tablet something with decent support or plan on it being disposable. You should be able to get some ideas here in the forum. Not surte why you would need to root it for your son though. Just sayin.
