Maybe I'm just paranoid, but for 20+ years the first thing I've done on a new Windows PC is install an anti-virus program and a firewall. I've read just about every thread here and haven't seen anything about protecting your systems against a virus or from data theft.

Does anyone here use:
!. An anti-virus app?
2. A firewall app?

If so which one would you recommend and why would you recommend it?

Just search the market for anti virus and you should have a number of options out there that all seem to have decent reviews. I don't know about firewall apps but you should have plenty of security options.
