Coby MID1042.8 - /sdcard and /data - "Read-only filesystem"

Hello. I have a coby 1042.8

I have followed http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...ot-recovery-update-all-without-livesuite.html and after installing 1042_recovery.zip from the sdcard my coby got stuck at the android logo. I didn't backup my coby --BUT-- I have another coby 1042.8, which I used to backup from CWM, pull the files to my laptop and then push them back to my stuck coby. I tried to restore it in CWM from that and it restores the boot image alright then says "Error while restoring /system!". That didn't work. So I pulled the /system folder from my other coby and pushed it into the broken one, rebooted it, and it booted alright. However, I can't modify /sdcard and /data because it says "Read-only filesystem". Suggestions to fix this or properly restoring?

You did'nt follow directions. The recovery.zip is not made to flash from cw recovery and nowhere do the instruction say to do this.

Restore your tablet using the system dump. luckily someone did this step and posted it.
