controlling the volume of froyo 2.2

hi the tablet i have is a froyo 2.2 which seems to be good. The problem i have is that i dont know how to control the volume whilst watching something without having to go to settings and changing it that way. The rubbish instructions say drag across screen to adjust volume but wherever i tap the volume does not change. Can anybody help ? thanks john

Easiest way is to download an app that lets you change settings more quickly on the fly such as Quick Settings.

You still have to back out of the video to do this...

Otherwise you have software button overlay apps such as Soft keys or Button Savior
