Controlling you TV

I have a Sony XBR-65HX929 and a Sony Table S. I have found the application in the tablet that lets me remotely control the TV and other equipment. It seems to work OK, but does not really live up to my expectations.

I recently tried to used the web browser in the TV and the text input is amazingly painful, as is the rest of the web browser UI. True, there are limits with a hand held remote control, but the point is that it is really annoying.

Is there some method I can use my tablet to enter the text for the web search, or other parts of the TV browser UI? I guess what I would like is some form Remote Desktop or LogMeIn for my tablet and TV, or something similar.

Try using a physical external keyboard. It can be a bluetooth device, or a keyboard through the usb port.

What you need is Media Remote for Android available from the Android Market.
