could I connect to VPNs rooting my table?

I'm newbie.

If I root my table using ClockwordMod (1), could I connect to VPNs (PPTP or IPSEC PSK) rooting my table? or I'll need to install a custom ROM? could suggest me one with VPN support?

I have never tried this or am not sure if the option i saw even works. If u download Wifi buddy from the market. it had a vpn option. I am not really knowledgeable when it comes to vpn's but this may work. I believe that the vpn connects over wifi, so this should work.
