I did this for my phone and my Tablet too. Dont forget to Nandroid before u install a theme. Read instructs carefully. Some parts I do not change like boot animation. go to the How To tab and read up.

YES i have made one for my coby. I did spend a lot of time creating on a froyo phone. They have made a lot of more options now. Be sure to clickthe preview windows and u have to upload the framework.apk and the systemUI.apk from the stock rom.
transparency is 0% and no transp is 100%
