CrystalView XT Android Tablet Hard Reset/Pattern Lock

sister gave me this (she got it from neighbor who passed) crap looking tablet (Has KB and swivel view 7" screen for tablet or "notebook" style) looks new, not banged up

Made by Shenzhen Kinstone D&T
CrystalView XT screen on boot
has InfoTMIC IMAPX210 proc.-256ram-using removable 4gig micro SD (on board,inside)
Android OS 2.2 I think...2. something for sure
2 USB,SD card slot,mic,headph,lan inputs, touchscreen,touchpad

Would like to reset this and give it as a gift to me mother, its all she needs and is simple enuff
It has the lock pattern attempts reached, wants Gmail account etc. Is there a possible emergency call code for this?
of maybe some firmware flashed? Have scoured the net for 2 days w/ very little info on this Chinese plastic, would truly appreciate any help

thanks spider, ok looked thru the resolutions on that link and unfortunately they all deal w/ volume up/down buttons which this thing does not have. Thanks for the assist
