Firstly, i'm very new to all of this and apologies if i'm posting in the wrong section!
So, id like to install my tablet (Samsung Galaxy 4) into my car to use as the main stereo. I'd like to configure it as a docking station. I could use the headphone socket as an input into an amplifier then plug the USB cable in to charge.... but that means using two cables and is more awkward to dock/undock.
Is it possible to use the wires within the USB data cable to input into the amplifier, whilst also charging the tablet from the 12v circuit? If so, does anybody know which wires do what?
