G'day all I'm new here and hope someone can help me, I just bought a Google android tablet,2.3 Gingerbread Flytouch and tried to download Avg anti virus and Skype and hit the wall.
then tried to reset to factory settings and the mongrel jammed up on me, anyone got any suggestions? I got it from a company called Ozandroid they are not a registered company and no phone number listed in yellow or white pages, I'm starting to sweat blood here. HEEEEEELP!

When you say "hit the wall" do you mean you were unable to download them? What method of reset did you use?

You shouldn't need a/virus on tab.....at least not yet. Try reset by holding power and vol up or vol down until something happens. If no good there might be a pinhole reset button on side of tab somewhere use a paperclip to try and reset. These pinholes can be tricky at best but don't use a pin as you may damage internals. Good luck

Another method of resetting Factory Default is Press and hold the POWER, MENU AND BACK buttons while turning the power on. This will totally delete everything if it works and you will have to reset Time Zone,WiFi etc. It will not show that it is resetting so you will have to wait a couple of minutes and then reboot to see any change.

G,day Jimbo, Sorry for the terminology I never chucked it at the wall it just froze up. and I have been waiting for it to reboot for hours as it dose not show any indication that it is doing anything.
As a beginner I found the factory reset (thinking I would start all over again) and it just locked up, as to downloading that was successful but could not log on to Skype or access avg. thanks for the reply

Thanks Userbe 1155 just tried that and it just shows the volume page after it rebooted now it shows a black back ground with a gun sight in the corner of the screen.

What do you call the back buttons?

Does not sound good, try the paperclip in the reset hole to see if you can resuscitate it.

What do you call the back buttons?

It may be a sort of circular arrow pointing backwards (left) or it may be a depressable button in the middle of the right side (front edge) of the tablet.

There is a whole bunch of info here (URL blocked) as well as specialised Forums for your device.
