Dell Streak 7 Wifi only --> has sim card slot

I just got a DS7 wifi only, and I notice there's a sim card slot (plugged).

Just wondering anybody know if it's actually usable? (meaning it has all the hardware and stuff ready to accept sim card). I'm just curious if we can unplug it and put a working sim card there..

I was wondering the same. @esampah - have you been able to remove the plug in the SIM card slot?
