Disable auto-rotate/g-sensor?

Is it possible to disable the g-sensor/auto rotate feature? Having to click a button all the way around the screen to get back to portrait mode is getting annoying. Or is there an app that can fix this problem?

I don't know exactly what your asking but rotate d can lock your screen in portrait out landscape

Well, when I turn on the phone, it doesn't remember my settings. For instance, if I power it down while in potrait mode, it boots up in landscape mode. I would love for it to boot up in potrait mode and when I go into apps, have them open in potrait mode. (Some still opens in landscape.) I Googled this and some people say delete the gsensor.dll, but I can't find that file in root explorer. Also, rotate D didn't work with this device.
