Do I Have to Bin My Brand New Tablet?

My Smartbook recently had a reset and now doesnt boot up. I took it to a shop to repair. I was told that there is nothing they an do and i might as well bin it! They said that they could not access the system to 'flash' it. It seems a bit harsh to bin a brand new tablet!
Has anyone any ideas?

If it's a brand new tablet, why not have it repaired under the warranty?

I was hoping that it was a quck fix, bur i thing i will have to send it back to germany somehow. Also, not sure how that would work it was s gift?

Maybe you could bother the person who originally bought the tablet if they have means to retrieve the receipt? Also, some retailers allow for the return of gifts without the receipt.

Have just got 7 inch android. When I turn it on only get little green man and tablet will not do anything, or switch off. Can someone please help me.??
