Documents to go error.

"This file cannot be opened because it appears to be a plain text file."


I get the following message when trying to open a docx or pdf with documents to go on my nook color. Here is the rest of the info.
Dev. - Nook Color
Rom. - Phiremod 6.3
File Explorer - Es File explorer


I try doing this on my Droid X with no problem, but when I try to acces it on my nook I cant open it.


By the way Im trying to do it over my home network, if I dowload the file via dropbox it works fine.

Other files like excel or normal doc are opened normally?

Thanks for the quick response.

But I haven't tried a excel file and dont know what you mean with a normal doc. Like a text file? I have Office 2007 and have tried to save the documents in the 2007 format and the 2003 format.

I will try a text file, an excel file and will respond to you asap.

Ok I tried all of the following.
Word - save as 97-2003 and normal save
Excel - savs as 97-2003 and normal save
Pdf
Text file
Every file gave me the same error except the simple txt file. That one did open fine. I just tried opening the files with my phone using the same apps (Documents to go and ES File explorer), and over the network and they did open.
