Does not connect to wifi, router, hotspot or tethering

this tablet min does not connect to wifi via router, hotspot, or tethering. It may connect once or twice then nothing. only for 3 min it will connect once or twice. Then there is a message that says "memory device damage please reformat. then it stays on there. lastely it will not update to android 2.2
