Just bought a Double Power Tech T711 through Walmart.com. Runs Android 4.03. Google Play market doesn't seem to recognize it as a supported device, and have had no luck searching either the manufacturer's website or Google. Is there some secret to finding out how to get this as a supported device? I'm thinking like, a brand name TV maker sells the very same thing as a cheaper knockoff through other stores.
Also, is it possible to download apps without going through Google Play? A couple I have tried going to the website, click on download, but it still switches over automatically to Google Play?
