Downloading Pictures

I have the ASUS Transformer with the dock. When I plug the card reader in with the card from my camera it shows up in the File Manager. How do download the pictures to my tablet. I have both the Picassa tool and Google+. I know I don't need both but somehow ended up with them. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum

Only a few apps will allow you to specify where any files will be downloaded and that option, in the apps that support it, would be found in the app's settings. Generally most downloads go to the download folder, (there is an icon in the app drawer called downloads but it can be accessed from any file manager). The photos can then be copied/moved from that folder to the SD card.

In theory that can be done from the Gallery but the Gallery isn't actually where the photos are but rather shortcuts to the files.
