Drivers for USB Port on Android 4.0

Got an Android 4.0 tablet back in August. Today I tried downloading Kindle EBooks using USB port -- this is the only way I could download it. However, my computer didn't recognize the usb cable that was attached to my android to my computer. My computer Win Vista said it couldn't find the drivers for the usb aparatus. Can someone give me the link to download them. I tried a couple; but after scanning my computer, they wanted me to pay for their service. Not interested in paying. Just want the drivers.

Any help would be appreciated. I am a NEWBIE!!!!
