email app ate my hampster

Okay, not my hampster, but it is slowly eating my mail. It downloads mail fine, mostly, and does all that I want it to. However, after a few days, email disappears from the inbox. It doesn't go to deleted mail. Is this a sync issue? The mail is still on the server (Hotmail) so its not lost, but I'm at a loss as to why the program is removing it.

Any ideas?

Check your settings, its possible it is set to only display a certain number of days mail, probably a memory/storage conservation thing.

I've been checking - not much in the settings at all. And now it's not sending mail, just puts it in the outbox and there it sits. I may have to get a different email client; this one is just poor in every respect.
